Tours of Manchester - Friday 5th, Monday 8th Click here for details about the planned tours on Friday and Monday - Sehenswertes in Manchester
Derek's 'Foxing' Tour - Monday 8th to Thursday 11th Derek Brett, CPTI representative in Geneva, is planning a "foxing" expedition immediately after the conference, to visit the historical Quaker sites in North-West England, following the travels of George Fox in the momentous summer of 1652. Although of particular interest to Quakers, this is open to everyone. The hostel accommodation at the Old School, Yealand Conyers (which adjoins the historic Meeting House and belongs to the Quaker Meeting) has been booked for the four nights of Monday 8th to Thursday 11th September. We will travel north from Manchester by rail on Monday 8th - participants should allow £50 each to buy their own rail tickets for the one way journey and some shorter trips during the week. The charge for the week, including accommodation, breakfast and evening meal, and other shared expenses (but NOT the rail fares mentioned above) will be £100 per person. As some of the detailed arrangements will depend on numbers those wishing to guarantee a place for themselves must book by the end of July. For more details contact Derek Brett on dubrett@talk21.com . Please note that all correspondence and enquiries about this trip should go direct to Derek, NOT to the conference organisers.
